Dear parents,

Hope you are all doing well and helping your kids to learn catechism with the online teaching materials. You are most welcome to give any feedback on the Online catechism. As mentioned in the liturgy calendar, the first semester catechism exam for all centres will be held on 19th July 2020 for Year 1 to Year 11. The exam will be conducted online. More details will be given closer to the date.

Also, I am glad to let you know that we are planning to publish a Souvenir to mark the 10th Anniversary celebration of Catechism in our parish. We will be collecting materials from the students for preparing the souvenir. The following are the things we are planning to include in the souvenir: travelogue on pilgrim centres like Holy Land, Vatican, Marian pilgrim centres like Fatima, Lourdes and Medjugorje (outside India), essays, stories, poems, life of saints, paintings etc. As we have around thousand students under our catechism department, it is not practical to accept the literary contributions from all students. Therefore, catechism coordinators from different centres will contact the students who have won prizes in any of the Bible Kalolsavams in the previous years for writing and drawing competitions. We might also approach the merit award winners for literary contributions if there are not enough kalolsavam winners in any centre. But for travelogue on pilgrim centres, students can contact any catechism teacher and give their travelogue if they have traveled to any of the above mentioned places.

We are also planning to conduct a title and cover page design competition for the souvenir. More details will follow.
